Diferent skin colors to white (editing question)

Posted under General

I have a pretty basic question, i know how to change black skin to white but i was wondering how to change the colors of fantasy characters that have, for example, red skin or green skin.

Also, im having problems changing white skin to black since sometimes i feel like changing the color of the female from white to black but i just cant get it to lok right,, so im wondering if i could get any help or nudges in the right path.

Thanks :)

tbh i think skin edit is still kinda the same no matter what you edit
its just change of original colour to whatever you want.
Also there are tutorials in Bleached Resources Folder forum thread

Here is the link to that editing help video

i do use a lot of tips from that video for normal skin edits, it just gets harder with species that are something different from black or grey and i was wondering if someone had experience with those instead

- Select the skin you want to edit and copy it onto two different layers
- Have the bottom layer be a soft white and the top layer be a light pink
- Set the blending mode on both to soft light
- Group both layers together and then place a hue/saturation filter layer above it
- Adjust the coloring of the hue/saturation layer until you have the desired whiteness
